Within the historic walls of Qasr Al Muwaiji, Barker Langham curated an exhibition that celebrates the legacy of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Born and raised in the fort, Sheikh Khalifa’s early life and achievements are explored through original photography, oral histories and meticulous reconstruction. We worked closely with architects, archaeologists and heritage experts to ensure the experience was both historically grounded and spatially coherent, including the discovery—made in collaboration with local historians—of what may be the earliest known photograph of Sheikh Khalifa as an infant.
Our work extended beyond the exhibition to encompass strategic, operational and business planning for the entire site – creating a coherent visitor journey today and helping to inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
