Highgate Cemetery is more than a burial ground – it’s a cultural landmark, home to thinkers, artists and radicals. Barker Langham worked with the Friends of Highgate Cemetery Trust to support future planning, interpretation and community engagement, helping to balance public interest with conservation priorities. We led the development of a successful £5 million National Lottery Heritage Fund application, securing vital support to realise the project. Our ongoing work for the cemetery is focused on how to share the site’s stories with care, dignity and historical depth – opening up the experience to a wider range of audiences while honouring the character of the place.
