At the heart of old Dubai, Al Fahidi Fort is the city’s oldest surviving building–and the former home of the Dubai Museum. Barker Langham is leading the transformation of this historic site into a world-class museum, developing the interpretive strategy, curating the narrative and overseeing delivery in collaboration with our design partners. Rooted in deep archival research and local expertise, the new experience explores the fort’s layered history and its relationship to the city, situating it within a wider story of defensive architecture across the UAE. The result will be an engaging, site-specific museum that celebrates the enduring power of place.
What if together we could solve humanity’s greatest challenges…
